Additional Boarding Service Information
Opening Hours
To provide you with as much flexibility as possible our opening hours are by appointment at your convenience. If at all possible, we do prefer first time boarders to have at least two hours before dusk to settle in on arrival day. |
Your Peace of Mind
It is important to us that dogs in our care remain happy, safe and comfortable throughout their stay. It is our intention for you to have the peace of mind in the knowledge that your dog is well cared for in your absence. In this regard, please feel free to telephone or email us for a progress report while you are away. We are also happy to email a complimentary photo or two. |
C5 Vaccination Required
We require a copy of a C5 canine cough vaccination certificate that is current for the period of the stay. Medication Medication will be administered in accordance with written instructions without additional charge. |
Special Needs
We aim to be as flexible as possible to accommodate your requirements associated with exercise, feeding or training regimes that would otherwise have continued at home. Special Diet Where a special home diet is preferred or required we will adhere to your feeding regime and welcome fresh, frozen or other types of food being brought from home for the duration of the stay. |
Food
We generally use the Australian made Advance (TM) range of dry food that includes varieties suitable for puppies, adults and small breeds. Sardines or some wet food is usually added to dry meals for flavour variety. Should you prefer that we continue with the normal home diet, we are happy to provide other varieties or types of food. |
Beds and Bedding
To make the stay as comfortable as possible we welcome beds and bedding brought from home. Where this is not possible, we have a wide variety of beds including trampoline style and moulded plastic beds. Favourite toys and other familiar items are very welcome as great fun is had while teaching us how to play with them. |
Veterinary
Rovers Retreat has 24 hour access to emergency veterinary care and a very good relationship with a large number of veterinary hospitals across the Southern Tablelands and throughout the capital region. Should advice or treatment be required during the stay your usual veterinarian would be our first point of contact. In accordance with our terms and conditions of boarding, any costs associated with veterinary care during the stay are to be reimbursed to Rovers Retreat by the person responsible for the patient treated. |
